The National School of Local Administration (NASLA) in Cameroon has launched a call for applications for the second specific training session for municipal police officers for the year 2025. This initiative aims to recruit trainees for a training program that will last a maximum of three months in Buea. General and Specific Application Requirements
To submit applications, Councils, City Councils, and Sub-divisional Councils must meet certain conditions. First, they must have a resolution from the municipal council regarding the creation of a Municipal Police Service, approved by the Minister in charge of Regional and Local Authorities. Second, they must provide a list of candidates who meet the age criteria: they must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and not more than thirty-five (35) years old at the time of recruitment.
To submit an application file, the list of candidates must be sent to the Director General of NASLA via registered mail, signed by the competent Mayor. Each candidate's file must include the following documents:
- A copy of the Resolution on the creation of the Municipal Police Service.
- A copy of the candidate's employment or pre-employment instrument.
- Two (02) 4x4 passport size photographs.
- A certified true copy of the birth certificate.
- A certified true photocopy of the required qualification.
- An attestation of presentation of the original of the aforementioned certificate, signed by the Governor, the S.D.O. or the D.O..
- A certificate of nationality.
- A certificate of non-conviction (bulletin n°3) issued within the last three (03) months.
- A copy of the background check result or material proof of submission of the request.
- A medical certificate issued within the last three (03) months.
- An information sheet co-signed by a judicial police officer.
- A payment receipt for the sum of forty thousand (40,000) CFAF, representing the application and aptitude test fees.
Cost of Training
The total training fees amount to three hundred thousand (300,000) CFAF per candidate, payable in two installments upon final selection confirmation. A non-refundable fee of forty thousand (40,000) CFAF for file study and psycho-technical aptitude tests is also required.
