The Nestle Nutrition Institute offers research fellowship for international applicants in the fields of young women’s health, mother and child health and nutrition. These fellowships are awarded for pursuing postgraduate research training. The NNI will cover the fellow’s roundtrip travel to the host Institution, lodging expenses and a monthly stipend in addition to any host institution fees and some study related expenses up to 20’000 CHF. The amount of 20’000 CHF applies to the longer length projects. Duration of the support for the research training lasts for a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 6 months.

Scholarship Description: The Nestle Nutrition Institute offers research grants in the fields of young women’s health, mother and child health and nutrition. They offer these fellowship grants to health professionals from anywhere in the world (Not Available To Health Care Professionals in the United States) applying for post-graduate research training. The duration of the training can last up to 6 months. All institutions offering a trainingprogramme in the area of Maternal and/or Child Health and Nutrition are eligible to be a host institution.
Duration of award (s): Duration of the support for the research training lasts for a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 6 months.
What does it cover? The NNI will cover the fellow’s roundtrip travel to the host Institution, lodging expenses and a monthly stipend in addition to any host institution fees and some study related expenses up to 20’000 CHF. The amount of 20’000 CHF applies to the longer length projects. A proportion of this amount will be paid for shorter duration projects.
Selection Criteria: A Panel of members of the NNI Faculty with relevant expertise in a given field will assess all Fellowship applications. The following will apply: Priority consideration for this prestigious fellowship will be given to candidates in junior positions from emerging countries. The candidates’ history of previous or alternate grants will be taken into consideration.
How to Apply: The application form must be accompanied by the following:
- Details of their current level of training,
- Curriculum Vitae,
- A plan of the proposed training/activity clearly indicate its specific outcomes and
- Two letters of recommendation (1 from the institution where the candidate is working and 1 from the host institution).
- Letter stating intent to return to the home country upon completion of the training program.
