The Catchment and River Science (CaRiS) Research Group within the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Science at Plymouth University is offering PhD studentships starting 1st October 2014. Applicants should have (at least) a first or upper second class honours degree in an appropriate subject. The studentship will be supported for 36 months and include full Home/EU tuition fees plus a stipend of £13863 per annum. Applicants normally required to cover overseas fees will have to cover the difference between the Home/EU and the overseas fee rate (approximately £9950 per annum). Scholarship Description: The Catchment and River Science (CaRiS) Research Group within the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Science at Plymouth University will be in a position to offer one or two university-funded 3 year PhD studentships normally starting 1st October 2014. The intention is to fund two projects using match funding from external partners with whom we have a good working relationship. If you wish to discuss any one of the projects informally please contact the lead supervisor given below or if interested in multiple projects Professor David Gilvear.

Selection Criteria: Not Known

Notification: Short-listed candidates will be invited for interview most likely in the week beginning 21st July. Applicants who have not received an offer of place by 30th July should consider their application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
