EICA Scholarships for International Students in Egypt, 2015

EICA annually awards Training Scholarships which include five principal scholarships and five additional scholarships for each country from Africa, Asia, Latin America & the Caribbean and East Europe. Scholarships will be awarded for ten regular Training Programs. Each training programme accommodates 25-30 participants and will last for 11 weeks. Participant should be a holder of B.Sc. in agriculture. Application forms should be sent through official channels (Embassies of Egypt), before closing date established for each course i.e. 3 months before the beginning of the course.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded for the following regular Training Programs: Project Analysis, Integrated Pest Management, Vegetable Production, Cotton Production & Technology, Agricultural Services, Poultry Production & Health, Integrated Rural Development, Animal Production & Health, Soil & Water Management and Fish Culture Development.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Training Programs.

Eligibility:

  • Participant should be nominated by his/her own government.-
  • Participant should be a holder of B.Sc. in agriculture.
  • Participant should preferably have three (3) years experience in the subject matter of the program.
  • Having good command of one of the working languages at EICA (English, French or Spanish).

Scholarship Open for International Students: Students of Africa, Asia, Latin America & the Caribbean and East Europe can apply for these training scholarships.

Duration of award(s): The course will last for 11 weeks as follows:
Project Analysis and Integrated Pest Management: January 15th – March 31st
Vegetable Production: February 15th –April 30th
Cotton Production & Technology and Agricultural Services: April 1st –June 15th
Poultry Production & Health and Integrated Rural Development: July 10th –September 25th
Animal Production & Health, Soil & Water Management, Fish Culture Development: October 1st –December 15th

What does it cover? The Principal scholarship covers the following:

  • Round trip air ticket.
  • Training expenses.
  • Full-Board accommodation.
  • Domestic transport within the programme.
  • Free medical care.
  • Pocket money allowance.

The Additional scholarship covers the following:

  • Training expenses.
  • Full-Board accommodation
  • Domestic transport within the programme.
  • Free medical care.
  • Pocket money allowance.

The nominating country support ONLY the round trip air ticket)
For a third nominee, the nominating country will be charged with the total expenses of the courseUpon the successful completion of the programme, the Centre awards a certificate of achievement to participant.
