The ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities) Titular Fellowships (funded by the ACU’s Development Fellowships Fund) aim to enable the universities of the Commonwealth to develop the human resources of their institutions and countries, through the interchange of people, knowledge, skills and technologies.
Applications for the 2014 ACU Titular Fellowships will be accepted from 1 April to 1 June 2014.
ACU Titular Fellowships are not intended for degree courses, including undergraduate, masters degrees or PhDs, or for immediately postdoctoral programmes. They cannot be held in the country in which the applicant currently works, and they cannot be held concurrently with other awards.

Founded by particular sponsors, each of the ACU Titular Fellowships is dedicated to a specific purpose:
Swansea University Fulton Fellowship
- Tenable at Swansea University, UK.
- Awarded for any of the priority subjects.
The Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Fellowship
- At least one Fellowship is open to either professionally-qualified accountants or established members of university faculties or related fields.
- Tenable at any ACU member university in any Commonwealth country (other than the home country), which either provides courses approved by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales or provides courses in (or closely allied to) business education.
Wighton Titular Fellowship in Engineering
- Open to full-time staff, academic or technical, of engineering departments in any ACU member university in a developing country.
- Tenable at any ACU member university in any Commonwealth country (other than the home country).
- Intended especially for the enhancement of laboratory teaching capacity.
University of Manitoba Fellowship
- Tenable at the University of Manitoba, Canada.
- Awarded for any of the priority subject areas.
The George Weston Limited, Canada, Fellowship
- Tenable at any ACU member university in any Commonwealth country (other than the home country).
- Awarded for agriculture, forestry, and food science/food technology.
University of Oxford Fellowship
- Tenable at the University of Oxford, UK.
- Awarded in any of the priority subject areas.
The Jacky McAleer Memorial Fellowship
- In memory of Jacky McAleer, a former member of staff of the ACU, and in recognition of her long and outstanding service to the ACU.
- Tenable at any ACU member university in any Commonwealth country (other than the home country).
- Awarded in the field of information technology, with priority given to the computerisation of record systems or computer-assisted learning.
The Gordon and Jean Southam Fellowship
- Open to applicants from any Canadian ACU member university.
- Tenable at any ACU member university in any Commonwealth country (other than the home country).
- Awarded for any of the priority subject areas.
