The Giorgio Cini Foundation offers two different types of residential scholarships to Italian and international scholars wishing to spend a research period in Venice between April 2015 and April 2016. Up to 3 Type A Scholarships worth 12,500 euros each for a period of six months are available to PhD students who must not be over 35 years old on 31 January 2015. Up to 6 Type B scholarships worth 6,250 euros each are awarded for post-doctorate students who must not be over 40 years old on 31 January 2015 for a period of three months. Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in Italian culture studies especially that of the Veneto – with an interdisciplinary approach in one of the following fields: art history, literature, music, drama, early printed books, Venetian history and comparative cultures and spiritualities.

- The residential scholarships are offered to Italian and international1 scholars wishing to further their studies of Italian culture – especially that of the Veneto – with an interdisciplinary approach in one of the following fields: art history, literature, music, drama, early printed books, Venetian history and comparative cultures and spiritualities. Candidates shall propose a research topic specifically focused on the archives and documents kept in the Giorgio Cini Foundation, Venice.
Scholarship Open for International Students: These residential scholarships are awarded to Italian and international scholars.

What does it cover?
- Each type A scholarship will be divided as follows: a gross sum of 6,200 euros as a contribution to general expenses, travel and board, paid in two equal installments at the end of each three-month period by bank or postal order only; accommodation free of charge (equivalent to a conventional cost of 6,300 euros) for six months in the Vittore Branca Center Residence on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and free use of the Vittore Branca Center facilities.
- Each type B scholarship will be divided as follows: a gross sum of 3,100 euros as a contribution to general expenses, travel and board, paid in one installment at the end of the three-month residency period by bank or postal order only; accommodation free of charge (equivalent to a conventional cost of 3,150 euros) for three
months in the Vittore Branca Center Residence on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and free use of the Vittore Branca Center facilities.
