
The Université de Dschang recently held an official ceremony to proclaim the results of the 2024/2025 academic year at the H.M Mathias Djoumessi International Conference Centre. One of the key highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the Best PhD Thesis for the academic year.
With a cumulative success rate of 78.87%, the Université de Dschang aimed to project excellence during the ceremony. The university presented the best thesis from various schools and awarded them a roll of honour by the authorities present.
Best Thesis Awards
- Dschang School of Arts and Social Science (FLSH & IBA): Dr Kukwah Ezekiel was awarded for his thesis, "The concept of Republican Government in the works of Thomas PAINE."
- Dschang School of Economics and Management: Dr MEYTANG Cedric received the award for his outstanding work.
- Dschang School of Sciences and Technology (FS, IUT/FV): Dr MFOGO Volviane Saphir was awarded for her thesis, "An online deeleraning based intrusion detection in q deployed intenrt of things (IoT) for a multi-access edge computing (MEC) Infrastructure."
- Dschang School of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences: Dr Djoukouo Dassi Nadia Hillary received the award for her thesis, "Études de la valorisation par pyrolyse thermique des déchets plastiques Agricoles."
Encouragement from the Rector
In his closing speech, the Rector of the Université de Dschang, Prof Roger Tsafack Nanfosso, encouraged postgraduate students to double their efforts and stand out in their research work.
Award Ceremony
The ceremony continued with the award of cash prizes from various sponsors, including the Ndassi Moses Scholarship, Orange Cameroun Prize award, Commercial Bank Of Cameroon, the Rector's Prize, and best UIT projects. This sets the pace and encourages students to continue striving for excellence.
