INVITATION TO APPLY FOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM IN ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION

Within the framework of the “Pan-African e-network project“ on National and Subregional Virtual Universities of Cameroon, resulting from cooperation between the Governments of lndia and Cameroon and the African Union,

The University of Yaounde I in collaboration with the Birla institute of Technology and
Science (BITS) of India hereby invites candidates to apply for a Certification Program in Electronics and Instrumentation.

Courses shall be entirely in English and by videoconferencing from BITS, with online and physical tutorials, and shall last for one year, which is two semesters, with up to five hours classes per week. The Program contains 06 compulsory courses: Electrical and Electronics Technology, Electrical Science. Digital Electronics and Microprocessors, instrumentation and Control, English Language Skills and English Communication Skills.

This Program will lead not to a Diploma, but rather to a Semester-Transcript and a Course Completion Certificate for each course, to be issued by BITS, in acknowledgement of acquired competences.

The course is open to all citizens of Cameroon and all other countries of the Central African sub—region, who are holders of the “Baccalauréat" C, D or E, or the GCE A level, both diplomas with good marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Courses shall commence in August 2013 at the National and Sub-regional Virtual Universities. Application tiles shall be received up to Monday July 15. 2013 at 4.00 pm at the Sub-regional Virtual University Learning Centre situated in the New Pedagogic Block of the University of Yaounde l.

This training is subsidized by the lndian Government, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the University of Yaounde I: as such. the annual fee per student shall be 50 000 CPA F.

Only 100 places are available. Candidates shall be selected on the study of their academic tiles, and results published by July 22, 2013. Composition of the application file and further information can be obtained in the annexes to this invitation. (Attachment)
